Jakub Mensik beat Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 6-3 in the Shanghai round of 64. Mensik won the first three games of the opening set to lead 3-0, then, trailing 0-1 in the second, took the next three games to move ahead 3-1.

As of 9 October 2026, Mensik was ranked 15th and Kecmanovic 61st in the ATP rankings.
